As always we've also got a new site of the week to introduce. This week that site belongs to a German company specialized in scaffolding solutions — Kraft Gerüste GmbH. Their all-new, ProcessWire powered website was created by typneun Designagentur. Keep on reading for more details.

Thanks to all of our readers for being here with us again, and as always, any feedback is most welcome – please don't hesitate to drop us a line if there's anything in your mind you'd like to share with us. Enjoy our latest issue and have a great weekend!

Latest core updates

This week we’ve got some bug fixes and feature updates available via the dev branch at our GitHub repository. Ryan has also posted a new weekly update, in which he talks about aforementioned feature updates.

Here's a quick summary of what's new this week:

  • JavaScript alert functions used in the admin interface have been upgraded to use Uikit modals when available.
  • Markup Regions output method has been updated to support class size removal by wildcard or regular expression syntax.
  • A new function WireException() has been added. This method can be used to throw a new WireException functionally.
  • PHPDoc updates for some core classes, and some bug fixes.

Additionally, according to Ryan the new ProcessWire website is now largely done, apart from the home page, and likely some final touches and adjustments. We don't have a date for the launch yet, but it's definitely getting closer.

That's all for our core updates section for this week. For more details, be sure to also check out the weekly update from Ryan. Thanks!

Weekly forum highlights, tutorials, and other online resources

Here we've got a new collection of support forum highlights and other useful and/or interesting resources. As always please let us know if there's anything important we've missed so that we can include it in one of our future issues.

  • To kick things off, we'd like to highlight an upcoming module that might be interesting especially to the musicians among us: LyriChord. The module is not available quite yet, but there is an informative screencast video, so be sure to check it out!
  • Another module related news has to do with the Padloper e-commerce solution. Though it isn't a sure thing yet, the author, Kongondo, is considering open-sourcing his commercial modules. This could definitely attract new community contributions, and would be a pretty big deal for the community in general.
  • Moving on to tutorial content, this week we've got a handy little code snippet from Bernhard Baumrock: converting a regular text field into a color picker with one simple hook. Nice one!
  • Last but not least, for those using the DDEV development environment there is a very informative tutorial video from the author about debugging code with xdebug in DDEV.

If you're interested in ProcessWire news, discussions, and updates, there's always something going on at the support forum. Since we're only able to include a tiny selection of all that in our weekly updates, head down to the forum for more.

Site of the week: Kraft Gerüste GmbH

Our latest site of the week belongs to Kraft Gerüste GmbH, a German company that provides scaffolding solutions, safety nets, lifts, and related services for building sites. They have more than 30 years of scaffolding expertise, and are PQ certified for public construction contracts.

The Kraft Gerüste GmbH website was created by typneun Designagentur. The bulk of the content is available via the home page, making this site (for the most part) a one-pager, but each reference also has a page of its own. The look and feel of this site is definitely industrial: bold and straightforward design, straight lines and clear-cut shapes, some visual effects and animations — enough to make things look good and feel modern, without being over-engineered.

Kraft Gerüste GmbH combines over 30 years of scaffolding expertise with a modern, well-structured website. Striking visuals and intuitive navigation showcase professionalism and safety. Services like protective scaffolding, weather protection roofs, and custom solutions are clearly presented. With PQ certification, project references, and team insights, the company delivers a strong online presence that blends technical excellence with standout design.

As for behind the scenes details, the front-end of this site appears to be custom-built, or based on a custom front-end framework of sorts, with some third-party components — such as PhotoSwipe and Slick carousel — bundled in. There are no visible third party ProcessWire modules on this site, so not much else we can say about the technical implementation; except, of course, that it feels quite fast and responsive.

Thanks to the folks at typneun Designagentur for sharing another interesting project with us, and our congratulations to the client, Kraft Gerüste GmbH, for their new, ProcessWire powered website!
