ProcessWire Weekly #599

The 599th issue of ProcessWire Weekly brings in all the latest news from the ProcessWire community. Modules, sites, and more. Read on!

Welcome to the latest issue of ProcessWire Weekly! In this week's issue we're going to kick things off by checking out what's new in ProcessWire 3.0.253, currently the latest version available via the dev branch at GitHub. There are a number of new hookable methods in this update; more about that in just a bit

In other news we're going to check out a new addition to StripePaymentLinks module: the StripePaymentLinks Customer Portal, which adds a full-blown customer section to your site. And, as always, we've also got a new site of the week, this time belonging to the real estate development company Karimpol Group.

Thanks to all of our readers for being here with us again, and as always, any feedback is most welcome – please don't hesitate to drop us a line if there's anything in your mind you'd like to share with us. Enjoy our latest issue and have a great weekend!

Latest core updates: ProcessWire 3.0.253

In his latest weekly update at the ProcessWire support forum, Ryan talks about some newly added hookable methods in the Page class. There are quite a few of them as a matter of fact — here's a full list, with links to the API reference:

What makes these methods interesting is actually where they are: while many of them were already hookable via the Pages class, having them available via the Page class as well makes them more convenient for some use cases, including custom Page classes. One example is that you can hook into one type of Page, e.g. CustomPage::added(). Or your custom pages could override them directly, without using any hooks at all.

That's all for our core updates section this week. For more details, be sure to check out the weekly update from Ryan. Thanks!

Site of the week: Karimpol Group

Our latest site of the week belongs to the Karimpol Group, a real estate development company mainly operating in Central and Eastern Europe countries — including Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Austria. Founded in 1991, they are one of the most successful privately held real estate developers in the CEE region.

The Karimpol Group was established in 1991 to undertake real estate development in CEE, mainly in Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Austria.

Created by Digital Deer Agency, the Karimpol Group website features a minimalistic, modern design with varying layout, plenty of high quality photo material, and quite a few transitions and animation effects. Content wise the site is split into a rather hefty projects section, an about section with basic company info and some history, a news section, and a tightly packed contact section. All in all this is a very to-the-point site: nothing unnecessary or superfluous, but still enough to make a solid impression.

As for behind the scenes details, there's not a whole lot we can say here. The front-end appears to be custom-built, with the most prominent third-party dependency being the Animate on Scroll JavaScript animation library, and when it comes to non-core ProcessWire modules, there are none visible on the front-end of this site.

Our congratulations to Karimpol Group for their new, ProcessWire powered website — and of course to the team behind this project at Digital Deer Agency; amazing work from everyone involved in this project!
